Based on the late 18th century paint color found by paint analysts at Bruton Parish Church. It was Reverand Goodwin, the rector of the church in the early 20th century, who envisioned the restoration of Virginia's colonial capital and persuaded John D. Rockefeller, Jr. to tour the town in 1926.
